March Classes
Metalsmithing Fundamentals starts March 20th and runs consecutively for 2 days.
This class runs for two days on Friday and Saturday. I usually run this class once a month. In this class students learn to cut silver sheet with shears, wrap a bezel around a stone and then join the bezel firing with a torch. Twisting a rope out of round 18 gauge silver wire, we will wrap this around the bezel. We will attach the bezel to the sheet that is cut with solder and then attach the rope to the bezel and sheet. Then you will create a bail and solder it to the underside of the base of your pendant. You will learn how to fire with a Torch during this process. Next you will learn how to use rotary tools to sand and polish your pendant.
Fundamentals of Metal Clay starts March 5th and runs consecutively for 4 weeks.
