Nose Boop Keepsakes: Mold Your Pet’s Snoot

  • 8 Steps
A mold of my dog's nose.

About

Create a one-of-a-kind keepsake from your pet’s unique “nose print.” In this self-paced program, you’ll learn a safe, pet-friendly method to capture a clear nose impression and turn it into a durable mold you can use to cast a replica later. You’ll be guided step-by-step with tips for keeping your pet calm and comfortable, plus troubleshooting for common issues like wiggling, shallow impressions, and air bubbles. Perfect for beginners, this process-first class helps you focus on curiosity over perfection—so you can enjoy the making and end with a meaningful result. Materials list Pet-safe impression material (two-part putty or alginate) Disposable gloves Small mixing cups + craft sticks Petroleum jelly (or pet-safe barrier balm) Paper towels + pet-safe wipes Painter’s tape (to secure your work surface) Shallow tray or small container (to hold the impression material) Timer/phone timer Optional: treats, helper/second set of hands, and a calm mat or towel for your pet
